Empowering the Next Generation of Conservation Photographers

Our Wolf Cub Program aims to identify, encourage, and mentor aspiring conservation photographers aged 22 and younger from a broad spectrum of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Wolf Cub Program Overview

It’s our turn to give back and share the knowledge and strategies we use to empower the next generation of conservation photographers. Through our 1-year Wolf Cub Program, we will have monthly virtual meetings to help successful applicants foster their conservation voice and activism, develop their visual storytelling skills, and grow and learn together in a fun and supportive environment.

Individual Visual Conservation Project

Each successful applicant will be required to work on their individual conservation project during the mentoring program. Our first session will be discuss your idea and help you to refine it. Over the following months, we will share our knowledge and expertise that will be tailored to your own interests and skill set. At the end of our program, you will be asked to present your conservation project and we will share your work through our different channels.

Summary of Benefits

• Year-long mentorship with The Wildlife Collective.

• Access to all of our paid courses.

• Visibility of your conservation project through The Wildlife Collective’s social media and website, including the opportunity to do a week-long takeover of our social media to highlight your project.

• Our Wolf Cub members will be asked to help create awareness of conservation issues and participate in our conservation campaigns.

Application Process

• Applicants must be a photographer between 18 and 22 years old.

• Applicants must submit a portfolio of 30 images for review.

• Applicants must complete the online application form.

Successful applicants will be chosen based on merit, conservation activism, and the quality of their work. The application process will include an interview.

The application window will be open from September 7, 2021 to September 28, 2021 . Successful applicants will be announced in October, 2021.
